Professor Layton and the Unwound Future help?

Puzzle Number 84. I don't need help with the puzzle, but I'm at the part where Barton is no longer at the cafe (you needed to talk with him to trigger the puzzle) and now the Mobile Fortress is up. I haven't gone in their yet, though. Is there any way I can do this puzzle? It hasn't appeared in Puzzlete's house yet.
